Hanging on by a Thread

When you’re hanging on by a thread, make sure it’s the hem of His Garment.” – Toby Mac-2.png

I don’t know what it is, but it seems like everyone I talk to lately feels like they are simply hanging on by a thread. They are facing situations in their life that feel beyond their control, where they are just in a pure state of desperation for things to change. If you are one of those women, whether it is in your health, marriage, finances, relationships or frankly anywhere else, you are not alone! In fact, there is another woman of God who in her desperation also hung on by a thread. Actually, it was more like a hem.

And suddenly, a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came from behind and touched the hem of His garment. For she said to herself, “If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well.” But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, “Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And the woman was made well from that hour. – Matthew 9:20-22

This woman had been struggling with bleeding issues for 12 years. I am sure she exhausted every natural method to receive her healing to no success. But once this woman got a glimpse of the power that Jesus possessed, nothing was going to stop her from receiving her healing – not religious laws, not naysayers, not anything. She went after Jesus with everything she had because she knew that although her situation was hopeless in the natural, that there was healing power from a supernatural God. Nothing stopped her faith.

Ladies, you too may have exhausted every natural method to receive the breakthrough in your life. The doctors may not be able to help you. The marital counselor may seem pessimistic about your future. The bank may have nothing for you. But, my friend, just determine to reach out and grab hold of Jesus, and He will see you through.
